NU Social Club Launches with “The Young Researchers’ Get Together”

The newly established NU Social Club, dedicated to fostering non-academic connections among young researchers at NU, officially launched with a highly successful inaugural event, The Young Researchers’ Get Together.

The event brought together around 200 young researchers from across NU Schools, research centers, and affiliated organizations, marking a major step toward creating informal spaces for interaction beyond academic deadlines and project work.

“The response from the community has been overwhelmingly positive,” said organizers of the NU Social Club Team. “We established this club to break down silos and create a supportive, enjoyable atmosphere where researchers can truly connect. The attendance at our first gathering proves just how much this kind of non-academic interaction was needed.”

The NU Social Club plans to host more events in the future, continuing its mission to build a vibrant and connected community for NU’s young researchers. Support from the NU Impact Foundation was a key factor in the successful launch of the NU Social Club and the organization of its inaugural event. The Foundation’s contribution helped create a welcoming and inspiring atmosphere that encouraged active participation from young researchers. By supporting initiatives like this, the NU Impact Foundation demonstrates its commitment to developing the youth research community, strengthening non-academic connections, and expanding opportunities for the intellectual and professional growth of NU students and researchers.
