Successful NU Startup Founders Meet with the Head of State in Washington

As part of his visit to Washington, D.C., USA, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with the founders of Kazakhstani IT startups entering international markets.

Among them were professors and alumni of Nazarbayev University who are developing their projects in Silicon Valley.

Nursultan Kabylkas, Assistant Professor at NU School of Engineering and Digital Sciences, is the co-founder of texer.ai, a startup specializing in hardware verification and Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools. Earlier this year, he introduced Kazakhstan’s first domestically developed microchip designed for the energy sector.

Serik Smagulov is the co-founder of World Medical Concierge, a healthcare startup that completed acceleration at Stanford’s StartX program. Sherkhan Sauyrtayev co-founded Artisan Education, an EdTech startup making STEM education more accessible. Azat Suleimenov serves as an advisor at Investbanq, a WealthTech startup offering AI-powered wealth management solutions.

Yersultan Sapar is the co-founder and CTO of Perceptis AI, a startup focused on automating consulting and professional services. Anuar Zhaksylyk is the co-founder of QazTWIN, a digital twin platform for industrial facilities, plants, infrastructure, and energy systems.

All of these startups are also residents of Astana Hub and Silkroad Innovation Hub. In turn, co-founder and CEO of Silkroad Innovation Hub Asset Abdualiyev presented the achievements of Kazakhstani startups on the global stage.

The Head of State commended the success of domestic high-tech companies and emphasized the importance of achieving the strategic goal of transforming Kazakhstan into a fully digital nation within the next three years.
