Amina Chaia, a researcher at NU’s Sustainable Development Solutions Network (NU SDSN), in her article for The Astana Times, describes the urban and climate challenges faced by cities like Astana in our region today. Against the backdrop of the 2023 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28) in Dubai, Chaia emphasizes the importance of climate-resilient governance strategies, grounded in threshold, coping, recovery, adaptive, and transformative capacities.

Raquel Reinagel, who is passionate about learning languages, is famous in Kazakhstan for her blog about the country and the Kazakh language. As a Senior Teaching Fellow at the Center for Preparatory Studies at NU, she was invited to the “Oyan” the morning show on the Khabar channel, celebrating Kazakhstan People’s Languages Day.
