This opportunity arises from the Student Exchange Agreement signed between NU and ADA University in September 2023, underscoring the mutual commitment of both institutions to foster global learning opportunities. At the beginning of the semester, ADA University organized a meeting of Kazakhstani students with the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The event, organized by NU jointly with the Institute of Mathematics and Mathematical Modeling and the International Society for Analysis, Applications and Computation (ISAAC), brought together more than 70 scientists from 10 countries. Sometimes scientists spend many years on research before a development can be commercialized and hit the market. Some innovative projects start off abroad, but later can be of use in Kazakhstan as well.

Sarbassov is working on a new drug for KRAS-mutant types of cancer. The drug has already passed the first stage of human trials on a group of 15 cancer patients.
