NU Alumnus Named to Forbes Kazakhstan “30 Under 30” List

A graduate of Nazarbayev University with a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Daniyar Yermatov has been included in the prestigious Forbes Kazakhstan “30 Under 30” list, which recognizes young leaders and innovators across various fields. He is one of two representatives in the “Management” category.

Today, Yermatov serves as a Program Delivery Partner at FIRST, one of the world’s largest global initiatives in robotics and STEM education for schoolchildren and students. He joined the organization in 2023 as a Program Manager for Central Asia and, over the course of three years, advanced to his current partner-level position.

His professional journey began during his studies at NU. He worked at Startup Home Lab, a startup that was incubated at the Astana Business Campus at the university. In addition, Yermatov spent two years as part of a research group focused on the development of wireless and radio-frequency electronic systems.

An important role in shaping his career was also played by his teaching experience: for six years, he tutored school students in physics and mathematics. This experience later became a key foundation for his work in STEM education and youth engagement.

We congratulate Daniyar Yermatov on this significant recognition and wish him continued success in his professional endeavors!
