The delegation, led by Armida Salsiah Alisjahbana, Executive Secretary of the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), was welcomed by the university’s Vice President, Darkhan Bilyalov. During the visit, the guests were given a tour of the campus and the university library. They were informed about the history of NU, which is currently a leader in Central Asia, recent scientific developments taking place in the university’s laboratories, and significant achievements in science and education.
From September 2 to 5, Astana is hosting a conference focused on the implementation of digital technologies and transformation to accelerate the achievement of sustainable development goals and regional technological initiatives. This event is organized by ESCAP in collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation, and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
