On February 2, 2023, a student of NU shared in a video on her TikTok account information about students using forms of cyber harassment. The mentioned messages were sent in March 2022 in a Telegram chat, created and used exclusively by students. The chat is no longer available to users.
NU condemns all forms of bullying, discrimination, and harassment. The university administration was informed about the content of the published video, and an internal investigation was launched. The results will be communicated after the completion of the investigation.
The university is working to prevent violence on campus, harassment, and bullying, adheres to a policy of “zero tolerance” for violence. Helplines are available on campus, and access to medical, psychological, and administrative aid is provided to all NU students. The safety of our community members is a top priority.
