On July 3, 2023, the Head of State, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, received Yuriy Pya, Chairman of the Board of the Corporate Fund of the University Medical Center.
The President was briefed about the outcomes of the activity and further plans of the University Medical Center (UMC) Corporate Fund.
During the meeting, the Head of State was briefed about the UMC’s transformation through creating the first Integrated Academic Medical Center, whose main goal is to improve the quality of health services by integrating education, research, and clinical practice.
Mr. Pya also informed President Tokayev about the initiatives undertaken by the foundation to train doctors with a new approach and shared his vision for improving medical education in Kazakhstan.
Additionally, the meeting addressed various challenges within the domestic healthcare system, including the effective utilization of existing infrastructure and measures to enhance the quality of medical care in the country.
