NU Vice President Darkhan Bilyalov was introduced at the ceremony among the newly elected academicians. Dr. Bilyalov has four author’s certificates and more than 40 publications in highly rated journals exploring issues of education modernization, teacher training, and financing in education.
NU Associate Professor Durvudkhan Suragan was named the youngest member of the Academy. The mathematics professor is a laureate of several state prizes in Kazakhstan, as well as the prestigious international award in mathematics “Ferran Sunyer-i-Balaguer Prize”.
Kazakh Vice Minister of Science and Higher Education Darkhan Akhmed-Zaki officially presented diplomas and badges to the newly elected academicians.
Earlier this year, Dos Sarbassov, Director General of National Laboratory Astana and professor at the NU School of Sciences and Humanities, was appointed Vice President of the National Academy of Sciences.
