On January 30, Asiacolor Global, a 1Thirty Holding company, and the Institute of New Materials and Energy Technologies at Nazarbayev University (NU) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation aimed at developing research and innovation in the field of paints, varnishes, and powder coatings in Kazakhstan.
The memorandum was signed by Alexander Glukhov, CEO of Asiacolor Global, and Prof. Zhumabay Bakenov, General Director of the Institute. The document lays a long-term foundation for strategic collaboration between the scientific community and industry.
The agreement supports the implementation of 1Thirty Holding’s key project in Astana, which includes the launch of powder coatings production and the creation of a unique R&D center for the region. The parties intend to collaborate on developing the domestic scientific base, implementing international quality standards, and commercializing cutting-edge developments.
The collaboration includes joint research projects, seminars, workshops, and training events, as well as the involvement of students and young scientists in applied research in materials science and coatings.
Professor Zhumabay Bakenov emphasized that the partnership with Asiacolor Global opens new opportunities for practice-oriented research and the training of highly qualified specialists. “Collaborating with industrial partners contributes to the development of applied science and the creation of a sustainable innovation ecosystem in the country,” he noted.
“The signing of this memorandum is an important step in strengthening the relationship between science and industry. We are confident that cooperation with Nazarbayev University will accelerate the implementation of innovative solutions and contribute to the development of high-tech manufacturing in Kazakhstan,” noted Alexander Glukhov.
