Moreover, it is expected that the University will keep strict watch for observance of ethic and other norms in research affecting human subjects as well as observance of animals rights in corresponding research. This function will be fulfilled by the Research Advisory Council of the University. The intellectual property rights regime will be clarified for future scientific research of the University. The NU will try to find the best balance between the interests of the researchers and the University. The new plans of the University have been approved at the NU Partners Meeting, taken place in Astana on December 12-13, 2011. The representatives of University College London (UK), Wisconsin – Madison University (USA), I-Carnegie (powered by Carnegie Mellon University, USA), Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, The National University of Singapore, Fuqua Business School, Duke University (USA), Argonne National Laboratory (USA) took part in the meeting. The partners have also highlighted the importance for the University research to be linked to the industry and business.
