The Council of Higher Education of Türkiye (Yükseköğretim Kurulu) has officially included Nazarbayev University in the list of accredited higher education institutions
This decision means that NU degrees are now formally recognized in Türkiye.
The recognition follows a comprehensive review under the Regulation on the Recognition and Equivalence of Diplomas from Foreign Higher Education Institutions (Official Gazette, December 5, 2017). It confirms that Nazarbayev University meets Türkiye’s criteria for authorized universities entitled to confer academic degrees.
This development opens new opportunities for NU students and graduates. In addition to strengthening academic cooperation between NU and Türkiye and enhancing the University’s appeal to international applicants, it also expands the career prospects of NU alumni in the global job market.
