The first Kazakh-French “Decarbonization Day” took place at NU, organized by the France-Kazakhstan Chamber of Commerce (CCIFK) in collaboration with JSC “NC “KAZAKH INVEST”.

During the “Decarbonization Day,” a significant milestone was achieved with the launch of the Kazakh Green Hydrogen Alliance. This initiative will act as a catalyst for enhanced cooperation and investment in the field. It’s worth recalling that the agreement to establish the Green Hydrogen Alliance in Kazakhstan was signed in 2022 during the inaugural international forum “Green Hydrogen: Kazakhstan,” which involved representatives from technology companies in Germany, Italy, Spain, and Kazakhstan.

The “Decarbonization Day” served as a pivotal platform for fostering collaboration between France and Kazakhstan in addressing carbon dependency. Both nations have set ambitious targets of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050 and 2060, respectively. The event focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in the field of energy transition and brought together government representatives, national companies, business leaders such as Total Energies, Eurasian Resources Group, Air Liquide, Orano, Alstom, Veolia, Bureau Veritas, alongside environmentally-oriented organizations including ECOJER and IGTIC, scientists, and other key participants. During the event, knowledge and experiences were exchanged, and discussions centered on the prospects of transitioning towards a low-carbon economy, as reported by SK news and other media outlets.
