During the meeting, they decided on a new composition for the Academy’s departments and elected department chairs. As a result, NU Vice President Darkhan Bilyalov was elected Chair of the Department of Education and Social Development.
Department chairs will be responsible for coordinating departmental activities, developing strategic recommendations for scientific advancement, and fostering interdisciplinary research initiatives. They will also work on strengthening the collective voice of scientists on key scientific issues, leading expert groups in analyzing research and technical challenges, organizing scientific events, and promoting science to a wider audience.
