Nazarbayev University (NU) became the final destination of the large-scale international music project “Voice Beyond Horizon”. The initiator and producer of the show was the People’s Artist of Kazakhstan, Dimash Qudaibergen, in collaboration with the major Chinese video portal Mango TV.
“Voice Beyond Horizon” is a unique 2026 project that brought together eight performers from Kazakhstan, China, Serbia, Italy, Malaysia, and Kyrgyzstan. Over the course of the project, the artists embarked on an exciting journey through the iconic cities of Kazakhstan — Turkistan, Aktau, and Almaty — which culminated in a grand finale in Astana. The goal of this musical pilgrimage was to merge cultures and strengthen international ties through art.
The choice of Nazarbayev University as the venue for the finale is deeply symbolic. It was here that the “One Belt, One Road” initiative was first announced, and today the university continues to serve as a bridge for cultural and intellectual exchange. For NU students, Dimash Qudaibergen’s visit and their participation in the filming of the international show became a rare opportunity to witness the creation of global media content and experience world-class art firsthand.
