The Graduate School of Public Policy at Nazarbayev University invites scholars, practitioners, policymakers, and researchers to participate in the 2026 NU GSPP International Annual Conference titled “Reimagining Governance: Power, Policy, and the Public Good in a Fractured World.” The conference will take place on October 16–17, 2026, in a hybrid format at Nazarbayev University in Astana, Kazakhstan.

Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the annual conference serves as a platform for academic and professional dialogue on key issues in public policy and public administration. This year’s discussions will focus on governance challenges in a rapidly changing world shaped by geopolitical tensions, democratic backsliding, and technological transformation.

The conference welcomes abstract submissions in the following areas:

  • Public Administration and Governance
  • AI Governance, Innovation and Technology Policy
  • Economic Policy and Development
  • Social Policy and Human Capital
  • Environmental Policy and Climate Change

The event will bring together academics, researchers, policymakers, and practitioners from around the world to exchange ideas, share research, and explore solutions for building effective and inclusive governance systems.
