The Department of Physics and the Energetic Cosmos Laboratory are pleased to announce the international conference “The Universe at All Scales”, to be held at Nazarbayev University on May 11-15, bringing together renowned scientists from around the world alongside researchers from the region. This event consists of two consecutive workshops: “Phenomenology of Strong Gravity 2026” (May 11–13) and “Structure and Energy in the Universe: from interstellar clouds to cosmic explosions” (May 13–15).
The first will focus on the frontiers of strong gravity, uniting experts in general relativity, relativistic astrophysics, black holes, and cosmology to explore the physics of extreme phenomena. The second will expand the scope across astrophysical scales, linking the interstellar medium, star formation, and stellar explosions, while highlighting cutting-edge advances in observations, instrumentation, and data-driven methods.
Together, the conferences aim to catalyze collaboration and exchange, with strong participation of students and early-career scientists, and a dynamic program featuring plenary talks, contributed presentations, and a dedicated hands-on workshop.
