The Institute of New Materials and Energy Technologies (INMET) at Nazarbayev University invites enterprises, industry professionals, and students to a three-day training program on Building Information Modeling (BIM).
The program is organized in partnership with Beijing Urban Construction Design & Development Group (UCD), Shenzhen University, the Underground Polis Academy of Shenzhen University, and the Integrated Transportation and Air Mobility Branch of the China Civil Engineering Society (CCES-ITAM).
The training aims to develop practical digital skills for sustainable and resilient infrastructure development, support the digital transformation of the construction industry, and contribute to the development of smart cities.
Participants will explore key aspects of BIM, including:
- 3D modeling – creating digital models of buildings and infrastructure;
- Collaboration – coordinating project teams through shared digital models;
- Simulation – testing performance and identifying potential issues before construction;
- Data and analytics – using project data to support informed decision-making;
- Lifecycle management – applying BIM throughout the design, construction, and operation stages;
- International expertise – learning from Chinese industry and academic partners and connecting with professionals and researchers.
Who can participate: Enterprises, industry professionals, and students in construction, engineering, architecture, and urban development. No prior BIM experience is required.
