NU School of Medicine is pleased to inform you of the opening of the Weekly Research Seminar Series. These seminars will be dedicated to a wide range of research topics in the areas of medicine and public health conducted by the faculty of the School of Medicine.

On November 24 School of Humanities and Social Sciences held the Closing ceremony of the Second Student Research Conference, where students and faculty presented their recent research projects. The main aim of the conference was to promote research among the students and create a platform for the School students and faculty to discuss contemporary issues in humanities and social sciences.

Annual scientific conference “Research Week” is a platform that allows scientists, professionals and management of different enterprises to meet, and exchange ideas and results of their results. The main purpose of the conference is to present research findings that were developed at NU, exchange experience, and form new relationship between scientists of NU and other research centers as well as universities of Kazakhstan.

The ceremony of awarding certificates of completion for the Executive MBA (Master of Business Administration) Program took place on the campus of NU. The ceremony began with the President of NU, Shigeo Katsu, the Dean of NU Graduate School of Business, Ramon O’Callaghan, and the Dean of Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, Bill Boulding, congratulating the new alumni, who are at the same time top-managers of Kazakhstan’s leading public and private companies.

The first group of enrolled Full-Time MBA (Master of Business Administration) students at the NU Graduate School of Business (NUGSB) began their studies on September 2nd, 2014. The graduate students welcomed the President of NU Shigeo Katsu, the Dean of the NU Graduate School of Business Ramon O’Callaghan and Associate Dean of Global Executive Education at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business (USA) Valerie Hausman.

The first Master’s program completion ceremony took place at the NU Graduate School of Education. 46 graduates of the University became Masters of Science in Educational Leadership, with a specialization in higher and secondary education.

During July 29 – August 5, 2014 students of NU participated at the XXI International Mathematics Competition for University Students held in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria. 73 teams from 51 countries participated in this year’s competition.

An official opening ceremony of Technopark took place on Friday, July 18 at NU. During the official opening ceremony the NU Science Park Astana Business Campus was presented.

On July 16 senior managers of universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan were awarded certificates on completion of Training and development program at NU Graduate School of Education. The event was attended by the Minister of Education and Science of Kazakhstan Aslan Sarinzhipov, program directors of the Foundation Leadership in Higher Education of the UK John Davis and David Perry, and the President of NU Shigeo Katsu.
