NU, together with the European Association for Comparative Economic Studies and in association with the Harriman Institute (Columbia University) and the University of Bremen, conducted the 1st Conference "New Advances in the Political Economy of Development in Eurasia" as well as NU-EACES workshop as a part of it on June 1-3, 2023. It was a three-day conference with 9-panel sessions and 35 conference speakers.

NU, together with the European Association for Comparative Economic Studies and in association with the Harriman Institute (Columbia University) and the University of Bremen, conducted the 1st Conference “New Advances in the Political Economy of Development in Eurasia” as well as NU-EACES workshop as a part of it on June 1-3, 2023. It was a three-day conference with 9-panel sessions and 35 conference speakers.

The opening ceremony marked the establishment of a representative office aimed at expanding the academic opportunities offered by the university. One of the key objectives of this expansion is to introduce new training programs tailored for executives, effective managers, and businessmen.

It was a full one-day event that included 26 presentations, 6 panels, and a book launch. Presenters came from several Kazakhstani universities (KazGUU, Almaty Management University, Eurasian National University, NU) and from several international universities such as Ada University in Azerbaijan, Albert Ludwig's University in Freiburg (Germany), Denison University, Indiana University (USA), the University of Nottingham (UK), Ulster University (UK), HSE University in Moscow (Russia), University of San Pablo (Spain), CEU, and the University of Cantabria (Spain).

On May 29, 2023, NU, the International Centre for Higher Education Innovation under the Auspices of UNESCO (UNESCO-ICHEI), and the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) signed a memorandum of understanding. The UNESCO-ICHEI delegation arrived for the first time on a visit to Central Asia.

NU (NU) proudly announces the successful conclusion of the 2023 AAHCI Central Asia Regional Meeting, held on May 26-27, 2023 at the NU School of Medicine in Astana, Kazakhstan. This prestigious event, co-organized by NU in collaboration with the Alliance of Academic Health Centers International (AAHCI) and Corporate Fund “University Medical Center” (UMC), brought together academic health centers from the region and around the globe.

In her speech, President Halimah Yacob spoke about the close and mutually beneficial 30-year-long cooperation between Kazakhstan and Singapore. During her lecture, the President of Singapore focused on three main, in her opinion, areas for cooperation between the "Lion City" and the "Great Steppe" - education, gender equality and equal opportunities for all citizens, as well as interreligious dialogue.
