Beijing University of Chemical Technology and The Institute of New Materials and Energy Technologies (INMET) at Nazarbayev University signed an International Research Cooperation Agreement. The document aims to foster joint innovative developments between Kazakhstan and China.
The agreement was signed by Liu Guiqin, Chairman of the University Council at Beijing University of Chemical Technology, and Professor Zhumabay Bakenov, General Director of INMET.
The partnership covers key areas such as energy technologies, new materials, chemical engineering, artificial intelligence, and sustainable low-carbon technologies.
As part of this collaboration, the parties plan to implement joint research projects, promote academic exchange among researchers, and organize joint seminars and conferences.
“The global transition to sustainable energy requires joint efforts at the international level. By integrating the research potential of INMET with the deep expertise of our colleagues from Beijing, including in the field of artificial intelligence, we will be able to significantly accelerate the development and commercialization of innovative materials for the energy of the future,” emphasized INMET’s General Director, Professor Zhumabay Bakenov.
The signing of this agreement marks an important step in strengthening international academic ties, opening up new opportunities for technology transfer and the exchange of research experience.
