An NU delegation visited the production facilities of Allur and Kia Qazaqstan in Kostanay to discuss opportunities for cooperation in talent development, applied research, and the introduction of innovative solutions into production.
During the visit, NU Provost Professor Rehan Sadiq and Vice Provost Bjorn Birgisson were introduced to the operations of the automotive companies. The discussions focused on promising areas of engagement between the University and industry partners, developing scientific and technological capacity, and strengthening links between education, research, and production.
The parties discussed opportunities for long-term partnership focused on addressing current production challenges, developing professional competencies, and involving students and researchers in practical projects. Potential areas include industry R&D projects, the use of NU’s research expertise and laboratory infrastructure, and the development of innovative solutions for industry.
For NU, engagement with industrial enterprises is an important part of advancing education and applied research. Direct dialogue with industry helps the University better understand real production needs, reflect them in the education of future specialists, and identify areas where NU’s expertise and research can have practical applications.
