Second scientific conference “Research Week” was held at NU during November 24 – 28, 2014

Annual scientific conference “Research Week” is a platform that allows scientists, professionals and management of different enterprises to meet, and exchange ideas and results of their results. The main purpose of the conference is to present research findings that were developed at NU, exchange experience, and form new relationship between scientists of NU and other research centers as well as universities of Kazakhstan.

NU conducted Open House Day in Shymkent

Today NU conducted Open House Day in Shymkent. All visitors had a unique opportunity to obtain information on admission procedures, training and professions, careers for future graduates and campus life, as well as get acquainted with the peculiarities of the students’ scientific research and organization student’s leisure at university.

This year 536 people entered the Centre for Preparatory Studies at NU

This year is marked by a high level of applicant preparedness. More than 800 candidates passed the entrance examination in accordance with the minimum entrance requirements.

NU received 3282 applications for the 2013-2014 school year

For the first time at NU gender balance was reached with an equal number of females and males – 1641/1641. The University received applications from all regions of Kazakhstan and other countries (Azerbaijan, India, China, Kyrgyz Republic, Russian Federation, USA, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan).

NU is opening a new academic program

The Daytime MBA program will be opened for students in 2014. Today, the autonomous educational organization ”NU” (NU) and its strategic partner Duke University”s Fuqua School of Business have signed a long-term partnership agreement.

The Eurasian Higher Education Leaders Forum launched at NU

“We believe our forum will create a good environment for knowledge transfer, idea sharing and setting new trends. We are working hard to shape this annual event into one where top managers, researchers, experts, and policymakers in higher education from Eurasia and beyond can engage in knowledge generation and transfer, learning and sharing, networking and, of course, also conducting business,” said NU President Shigeo Katsu in his opening speech.

Educational training program for Kazakhstani entrepreneurs started at the NU

The educational program is prepared exclusively for Kazakhstani business needs by the NU Graduate School of Business partnered with Duke Corporate Education (Duke University, USA). The national operator of the training program is the Entrepreneurship development fund “Damu”.
