NUR-SULTAN. KAZINFORM – Kazinform International News Agency shares the article of Shigeo Katsu, President of NU, in which he looks back at the past of NU and what the future holds for NU as it approaches its 10th Birthday.

Akmaral, how did studying at NU affect your professional life?I always wanted to deal with social problems and be as useful to society as possible, so I tried to get involved in various social projects.

On May 31 — June 1 the NU held the 5th Graduation Ceremony of Students. On May 31, the ceremony was attended by the Chairman of the Supreme Board of Trustees of Nazarbayev Intellectual schools, NU and Nazarbayev Fund, Yelbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev, who addressed the graduates of the University with a welcoming speech, congratulated them on finishing their studies, and personally awarded diplomas with honors to graduates who showed the best academic performance.
Yevgeniya Kim, the Director of NU’s Career and Advising Center, has been working there since its inception in 2012. The main tasks of the Center are to work together with students on their career development and to advise students and graduates on issues related to their professional growth.
A research team from NU received a grant from the World Bank for their project related to the rehabilitation of stroke patients. This grant was within the framework of a joint project with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Stimulating Productive Innovations”.
