Nazarbayev University will host the 23rd International Conference on Manufacturing Research (ICMR 2026) from 2 to 4 September 2026 in Astana, Kazakhstan.

ICMR 2026 will bring together leading researchers, academics, engineers, and industry professionals from around the world to discuss the latest developments, emerging trends, and future challenges in advanced and digital manufacturing engineering. The conference programme will feature keynote presentations by internationally renowned researchers and industrial leaders, alongside technical papers from both academia and industry.

Established by the Consortium of UK University Manufacturing and Engineering Heads (COMEH), the International Conference on Manufacturing Research has served as the United Kingdom’s principal manufacturing research conference for nearly four decades and has operated as an international conference since 2003. Over the years, ICMR has become a recognised platform for fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange between researchers, practitioners, and industrial stakeholders.

As manufacturing continues to evolve rapidly in response to globalisation, digital transformation, and technological innovation, ICMR 2026 aims to provide a forum for presenting both cutting-edge theoretical research and practical industrial applications. The conference welcomes contributions from academic institutions, governmental organisations, and industry representatives worldwide.

The conference will cover a broad range of topics related to manufacturing research, innovation, and engineering, supporting interdisciplinary dialogue and international collaboration in shaping the future of manufacturing technologies.
