The Institute of Smart Systems and Artificial Intelligence (ISSAI) of NU took part in the forum, presenting its developments in the field of Kazakh AI. The ISSAI team launched several new research initiatives during the forum, demonstrating Kazakhstan’s dedication to advancing AI technologies.

The event, organized by NU in collaboration with the Institute of Mathematics and Mathematical Modeling and the International Society for Analysis, its Applications and Computation (ISAAC), brought together more than 70 people - outstanding mathematical minds from 10 countries. In his welcoming speech at the conference opening, Kazakh Vice-Minister of science and higher education Darhan Ahmed-Zaki emphasized the importance of mathematical research in the development of modern scientific and economic processes and expressed recognition of mathematical scientists for their contribution to the development of science.

World-Renowned Mathematicians Met at NU

The event, organized by NU in collaboration with the Institute of Mathematics and Mathematical Modeling and the International Society for Analysis, its Applications and Computation (ISAAC), brought together more than 70 people – outstanding mathematical minds from 10 countries. The Yale School of Public Health is partnering with NU School of Medicine on an advanced research training program that will support promising scientists and clinicians interested in phylogeny of viruses and molecular epidemiology. The new program, called MoVE-Kaz for Molecular Virology/Epidemiology Training in Kazakhstan, is funded by a grant from the Fogarty International Center of the U.

NU ISSAI pioneers AI conversing in Kazakh

In an era defined by rapid technological advancements, Institute of Smart Systems and Artificial Intelligence (ISSAI) of NU stands at the brink of a new frontier in human-computer interaction in Kazakh language. The next breakthrough in this direction is the launch of the first Digital Human Prototype “UMAY”.

One of her projects focuses on investigating the impact of hazardous industries on human health and testing a polyphenol concentrate to assess the effectiveness of certain foods - other than milk - on the health of workers in these industries. A graduate of NU and King's College London, Ayaulym Nurgozhinahas also been involved in the development of Nar, Saumal, and Kainar food products.
