The authors of the publication are Meiramgul Kussainova, an Assistant Professor at Nazarbayev University, and her former colleague, Danielle Ross, an Associate Professor at Utah State University.

In their article The AI Genie Is Out of the Bottle – Now What?, published in Times Higher Education, NU experts Aida Nuranova and Timothy Wawn explore the inevitable integration of generative AI into higher education. To help institutions adapt, they propose strategies such as incorporating AI into assessments to foster critical thinking and establishing clear ethical guidelines for its use.
