“Passion For Change” is the theme of this year’s conference by the Harvard College Project for Asian and International Relations (HPAIR) that will be hosted at Nazabayev University. The proposal put together by NU Students won a highly competitive process that HPAIR runs to determine which organization in Asia will host the conference.

The Alliance of Young Researchers in partnership with NURIS and NU organized the First Youth Research Forum “Science is My Choice”. On April 26, 2019, a new research complex based on the INURA (Innovative NU’s Research Accelerator) pulse high-current ion accelerator launched at NU. The construction of the ion accelerator is the result of trilateral cooperation between NU (Kazakhstan), Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (USA) and National Research Tomsk Polytechnic University (Russia).

NU students had the opportunity to practice how to give a good interview when applying for a job. Simulated interviews were held on campus between April 1 and 5, where students practiced interviewing with potential employers and were then given personal feedback and recommendations on how they did and ways they might improve.
