This year NU is celebrating its first major anniversary: ​​10-year jubilee!It’s a great opportunity to look back on the goals achieved, missions completed, explore new possibilities and plan future steps to take. On behalf of all students and graduates of NU, we wish you and all those sick a speedy recovery and hope that our support will help raise your spirit in the fight against this ailment!Exactly 10 years ago, on your initiative, the doors of our University were opened, and during this time the University became the flagship of the national higher education system, striving to compete on equal terms with the leading universities of the world.

This spring, for the first time in the history of NU, several doctoral students of the University defended their theses in a new online mode. One of those who successfully defended his scientific work was Talgat Manglayev, a student of the PhD program in Science, Engineering and Technology at the School of Engineering and Digital Sciences.

On June 14, 2020, NU hosted a virtual Graduation ceremony. The 2020 Ceremony is special as this year NU celebrates its tenth anniversary and for the first time due to the COVID-19 pandemic the Ceremony was digital.

From June 2nd to 5th, an international online conference was organized and hosted by NU, Nur- Sultan, Kazakhstan. During the conference, new results were discussed in the areas of dynamical systems, nonlinear dynamics, chaos, and more broadly, complexity science.

Our next guest is Leila Tlebaldiyeva, who completed her doctoral studies in Science, Engineering and Technology at the NU School of Engineering and Digital Sciences. She successfully defended her doctoral thesis in April this year.

Scientists from the National Laboratory of Astana NU are planning to study the DNA of individuals who have had COVID-19 in Kazakhstan. Currently, protocols for biomaterial intake are being developed and blood collection in hospitals has been started.
