Yerlan Ramankulov, head of the National Center of Biotechnology of the Ministry of Health and Associate Professor at NU School of Science and Humanities, was awarded the Order of “Kurmet” for his great contribution to the socio-economic development of the country and special merits in scientific activity.

It is expected that such breakfast discussions will have the increasing involvement of the NU Community in the transformation process and strengthen confidence in change. These talks will also be a tool to communicate impactful Transformation activities and its results, keep meaningful connections with NU community members and strengthen the sense of belonging to NU strategy, values, and principles.

NU starts its Transformation Breakfast Talks under the Institutional Transformation Program

On May 1, within the framework of Kazakhstan People's Unity Day, a historic event was held within the walls of NU - the first tournament in the discipline of International Taekwondo Federation (further – ITF) Taekwondo. More than 40 participants and 50 spectators visited the Athletic Center to watch this tournament.

First ITF Taekwondo competition in the history of the NU

On May 1, within the framework of Kazakhstan People’s Unity Day, a historic event was held within the walls of NU – the first tournament in the discipline of International Taekwondo Federation (further – ITF) Taekwondo. More than 40 participants and 50 spectators visited the Athletic Center to watch this tournament.

At a meeting in Atyrau, Adesida Ilesanmi advised the Nazarbayev Intellectual School’s high school students, who asked how to choose a future specialty, to follow their passions and to choose by their hearts. While being in Atyrau, the provost of NU Adesida Ilesanmi with the head of the Office of the President of NU Arman Zhumazhanov visited three educational institutions of Atyrau: Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Chemical and Biological direction, APEC PetroTechnic Higher College and Atyrau regional Boarding Lyceum "Bilim-Innovation".

NU hosted a Policy Challenge 2022 contest among students and graduates of the NU Graduate School of Public Policy (NU GSPP), the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, KAZGUU and the Bolashak Association. During the Policy Challenge, the teams studied the document on the Concept for the Development of Public Administration until 2030 and the Action Plan for its implementation.

Among the winners are Ainur Akilzhanova, Head of the Laboratory of Genomic Personalized Medicine at the NLA, Zhumabay Bakenov, Director of the Center for Energy and the Science of New Materials at the NLA, Damira Kanaeva, Assistant Professor at NU SSH, Bakhyt Matkarimov, Leading Researcher at the Laboratory of Biosensors and Bioinstruments at the NLA, and Assiya Yermukhambetova, a postdoctoral scholar at NU SEDS.
