On November 2, 2022, as part of a guest lectures series, the Ambassador of the State of Israel to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Edwin Nathan Yabo Glusman, visited NU with a guest lecture on the topic: “Israel, innovation and the fourth industrial revolution.

From October 24 to 28, 2022, NU hosted the International Youth Forum of the Asian Universities Alliance on the theme: “Building a Meta Silk Road: Integration of Asian Cultures in the Real and Virtual Universe. ” About 40 participants, students from NU, University of Tokyo, Chula University, IIT Bombay, UAEU, HKUST, Seoul National University, University Malaya, and University of Colombo (online) together attended scientific workshops and seminars.

On October 26, 2022, NU hosted a round table “The role of corporate interaction of libraries in the digitalization of higher education in Central Asia. ”Event organizers: The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan, International Center for Innovation in Higher Education with the support of UNESCO (UNESCO-ICHEI), The Association of Libraries of Higher Educational Institutions of Kazakhstan, and NU.

The 11th Eurasian Academic Libraries Conference will be held in Astana at NU on 27-28 October 2022. The conference organizers are The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan, The Association of University Libraries of Kazakhstan and NU Library.

The First NU charity trial run was supported by the Children’s Development Foundation and NU community clubs. Сharity trial run had a motto: “One University – One team”.

On October 24, 2022, NU launched the International Youth Forum of the Asian Universities Alliance on the theme: “Building a Meta Silk Road: Integration of Asian Cultures in the Real and Virtual Universe”. As part of the Forum, NU hosts international students from eight Alliance member universities for an opportunity to share knowledge and immerse themselves in the cultural environment of NU and the country.

NU hosted a second expert discussion of the “Jana Qazaqstan” intellectual space. In June 2022, Maulen Ashimbayev, the speaker of the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan, stressed the importance of the platform for joint discussion of the agenda of the New Kazakhstan and initiatives on strategic directions of development of the republic, at the space opening and its first discussion.
