NU recently organized a visit to Abai region. The purpose of the trip was to pay tribute to the renowned Kazakh philosophers, poets, and public and political figures, Abai Kunanbaiuly and Shakarim Kudaiberdiuly, who have made significant contributions to Kazakh literature and culture.
On March 28-29, the Conference of the Sustainability Living Lab Program was held with the participation of representatives of higher educational institutions of Kazakhstan. The Sustainability Living Lab (SLL) program is implemented by the Office of Sustainable Development of NU in cooperation with the “National Conservation Initiative” Corporate Fund with the support of Chevron.
NU, Korea Institute of Civil Engineering and Building Technology (KICT), the Kazakh Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development, and Republican Union of Designers of Kazakhstan signed a Memorandum of Cooperation at the NU campus. Last year, under the umbrella of the global SDSN, which works closely with United Nations agencies, multilateral financing institutions, the private sector, and civil society,The Kazakh chapter was approved as a National Network hosted by NU.
