NU (NU) proudly announces the successful conclusion of the 2023 AAHCI Central Asia Regional Meeting, held on May 26-27, 2023 at the NU School of Medicine in Astana, Kazakhstan. This prestigious event, co-organized by NU in collaboration with the Alliance of Academic Health Centers International (AAHCI) and Corporate Fund “University Medical Center” (UMC), brought together academic health centers from the region and around the globe.

In her speech, President Halimah Yacob spoke about the close and mutually beneficial 30-year-long cooperation between Kazakhstan and Singapore. During her lecture, the President of Singapore focused on three main, in her opinion, areas for cooperation between the "Lion City" and the "Great Steppe" - education, gender equality and equal opportunities for all citizens, as well as interreligious dialogue.

NU is expanding academic cooperation with leading universities in the world. As part of the Alliance of Asian Universities Forum, which is taking place in the capital, NU signed two cooperation agreements: the Memorandum of Cooperation with the “Universiti Malaya”, and the “Agreement on Student Exchange” with Tsinghua University.

The event was aimed at inspiring and supporting women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields.

On May 2, 2023, during the 15th meeting of the Kazakh-French Intergovernmental Economic Commission, agreements/memorandums of cooperation were signed with the French companies Alstom and Air Liquide. The signing of the documents is a measure of the implementation of the November 2022 Joint Statement of Cooperation.
