NU Expands Academic Cooperation with Universiti Malaya and Tsinghua University

NU is expanding academic cooperation with leading universities in the world. As part of the Alliance of Asian Universities Forum, which is taking place in the capital, NU signed two cooperation agreements: the Memorandum of Cooperation with the “Universiti Malaya”, and the “Agreement on Student Exchange” with Tsinghua University.

AMBA is one of the “triple crown” accreditation organizations for business schools with a prestigious group of only 300 schools that have earned AMBA accreditation. NUGSB is currently in stage 2 of the 3-stage process toward AMBA accreditation.

NU (NU) recently hosted a "Women in STEM" seminar, organized by the Institute of Smarty Systems and Artificial Intelligence (ISSAI NU), the Institute of International Education (IIE), and the TechWomen program of the US Department of State. The event was aimed at inspiring and supporting women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields.

NU Hosts “Women in STEM” Seminar

NU (NU) recently hosted a “Women in STEM” seminar, organized by the Institute of Smarty Systems and Artificial Intelligence (ISSAI NU), the Institute of International Education (IIE), and the TechWomen program of the US Department of State. The event was aimed at inspiring and supporting women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields.

On May 2, 2023, during the 15th meeting of the Kazakh-French Intergovernmental Economic Commission, agreements/memorandums of cooperation were signed with the French companies Alstom and Air Liquide. The signing of the documents is a measure of the implementation of the November 2022 Joint Statement of Cooperation.

The program "Academic Leadership Institute" has been launched at NU, developed by the Higher School of Education of NU on the Ministry of Science and Higher Education initiative of the Republic of Kazakhstan. During the training, the management staff of universities – rectors, vice-rectors, deans and directors of departments - will update their knowledge and gain new skills and innovative technologies necessary to manage universities in today's complex and dynamic environment effectively.

Improving Higher Education Management. NU Launches “Academic Leadership Institute” Program

The program “Academic Leadership Institute” has been launched at NU, developed by the Higher School of Education of NU on the Ministry of Science and Higher Education initiative of the Republic of Kazakhstan. During the training, the management staff of universities – rectors, vice-rectors, deans and directors of departments – will update their knowledge and gain new skills and innovative technologies necessary to manage universities in today’s complex and dynamic environment effectively.

More than 1,000 people participated in the panel discussions: Senior officials, APK members, representatives of religious associations, non-governmental organizations, the diplomatic corps, chairpersons of national and regional ethnocultural associations, and local and foreign media attended the event.

On April 12, 2023, the Counsellor and Deputy Head of Mission of the Royal Thai Embassy, Dr. Orathai Phubunlap Gunaseelan gave a guest lecture on topic: “Thailand’s achievement on the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG5): A perspective from the Foreign Service sphere of Thailand”.

The alliance will bring together faculty members, researchers, and students to share best practices, conduct research, and promote gender equality.
