New Partnership: NU and Koç University to Exchange Students

As part of the agreements, NU and Koç University will engage in student and staff exchange programs, facilitating the exchange of scientific, educational, and scholarly materials. Both universities have agreed to an annual exchange of two students from each institution, offering distinctive opportunities for students to immerse themselves in a different culture and academic environment, to engage in a world of intellectual exploration, creating a brighter and more interconnected future.

Teachers as Students: NU GSE Collaborates With Finnish Universities to Train Kazakh Professors

NU Graduate School of Education (NU GSE) in partnership with leading Finnish universities – Häme University of Applied Sciences (HAMK) and JAMK University of Applied Sciences (JAMK), launched a project to train university teachers. Supported by the World Bank and the Kazakh Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the project aims to introduce an enhanced model of teacher education and to adapt 30 educational programs.

NU Signs an Agreement with Friedrich Schiller University Jena in Germany

Established in 1558, Friedrich Schiller University Jena is one of the oldest German universities boasting a prestigious alumni list that includes renowned figures such as Karl Marx, Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel, Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz, Friedrich Schiller and Alexander von Humboldt. Today the university has about 18,000 full-time students, with 15% of international students from 120 different nations.

NU Strengthens Cooperation with Employers

NU (NU) actively develops and supports cooperation with local and global companies, and creates conditions for successful employment of NU students and graduates. NU Day in Almaty

The new NU campus, located at Satpayev, 4a in Almaty and launched in June 2023, welcomed residents and guests of the southern capital on October 28. NU Day in Almaty was part of the university’s annual major recruitment campaign for prospective applicants.

NU Establishes Cooperation with University of Toronto

As part of the MoU, the parties agreed on joint research collaborations, student mobility programs, faculty exchange, and participation in lectures, conferences and other academic events. As part of the Student Mobility Agreement, four undergraduate and graduate students from each university will have the opportunity to take part in the student exchange program at the hosting institution.

NU Holds Seminar on Sustainable Management of Natural Resources

The main goal of this workshop, titled “Sustainability in Natural Resource Management: Exploration, Extraction & Processing, and Supply Chains of Critical Raw Materials” is to facilitate an open exchange of perspectives among stakeholders representing the raw materials industry, the scientific community, and political institutions. At the centre was the discussion about the current situation in the raw materials industry in Kazakhstan and the potential for its further development, with a particular emphasis on its role in advancing the green and digital transformation of the economy.

Heads of 100 Kazakh Universities Continue Their Training at NU

The project was developed by the NU Graduate School of Education at the initiative of the Kazakh Ministry of Science and Higher Education. The program, launched in April 2023, aims to build leadership skills and improve university administrations’ competencies in today’s dynamic environment.
