Nazarbayev University Showcased for the First Time at a Major Education Exhibition in China

On April 10, Beijing hosted the opening of the international China Study Abroad Forum (CSAF) and the two-day China International Education Exhibition Tour (CIEET), where Kazakhstan participated for the first time with a national pavilion.

The Kazakh delegation was led by the Vice Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Gulzat Kobenova. The delegation included representatives of the Ministry as well as 27 leading universities from across the country.

Kazakhstan continues to strengthen its position as an emerging education hub in Central Asia and aims to attract international students. Nazarbayev University actively supports this national agenda by presenting its academic programs within the national pavilion under the brand “Kazakhstan — the Territory of Academic Knowledge.”

“China shows significant interest in Kazakh universities, including our institution, which enrolls around 7,500 students, more than 500 of whom are international. We are also currently working on launching dual degree programs with leading Chinese universities ranked by Times Higher Education,” said NU Vice President Gulmira Qanay.

The international forum brought together more than 500 participants, including representatives of educational institutions and relevant organizations from China, the United States, the United Kingdom, Russia, Australia, Italy, Spain, Greece, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, and other countries.
