The First NU Workshop for Alumni was held on June 18th in Nur-Sultan and June 25th in Almaty. NU alumni had a chance to visit their alma mater, meet their groupmates, receive essential updates on University’s progress from NU leadership, and listen to speakers from Jusan bank, industry leaders, and management from NURIS Cluster.

NU hosted a Policy Challenge 2022 contest among students and graduates of the NU Graduate School of Public Policy (NU GSPP), the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, KAZGUU and the Bolashak Association. During the Policy Challenge, the teams studied the document on the Concept for the Development of Public Administration until 2030 and the Action Plan for its implementation.

NU hosted a Policy Challenge 2022 contest among students and graduates of the NU Graduate School of Public Policy (NU GSPP), the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, KAZGUU and the Bolashak Association. During the visit, a master plan of the university, research centers, and laboratories were presented to him. The President also learned about the university projects and programs in science, healthcare, digitalization, agriculture, ecology and sports areas, through which NU contributes to the implementation of the President’s initiatives.

The fundamental principles of the University are meritocracy and academic integrity, providing world-class higher education in Kazakhstan at a lower cost than overseas scholarship programs such as Bolashak, and importantly, generating research-based knowledge in Kazakhstan rather than having to import it from abroad.
