Moreover, the Admissions Office has received 21 applications from such countries as Algeria, Armenia, Afghanistan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Nigeria, Russia, the USA, Uzbekistan and France. NU would like to remind its prospective students that in 2012 it will begin to admit students to the bachelor degree program without the obligatory foundation program. The entry requirements and the online application form for this new system will be made available at the University’s website early the next year. In 2011, NU had 4,247 applicants, of which 501 became students who began their studies this autumn. Again this year, 500 Kazakhstani government scholarships have been granted for Kazakhstani citizens who will study at the NU Foundation Program.
