NU Dance Club Celebrates 15th Anniversary with Concert

On 25 February, Nazarbayev University hosted the 15th anniversary concert of NU Dance Club, bringing together students, alumni, and guests to celebrate the club’s longstanding contribution to campus culture. The concert featured a vibrant program of street-style and freestyle performances reflecting the club’s creative identity and collaborative spirit.

Established in 2010 as one of the University’s first student organizations, NU Dance Club has grown into an active community that attracts hundreds of students each year and promotes dance as both art and physical activity. Throughout its history, the club has participated in major university events and represented NU at national street dance championships, competing alongside professional performers and earning awards and finalist placements.

Since 2024, the club has also organized World of Dance Kazakhstan at NU, welcoming international judges and young dancers from across the country and abroad. Notably, the team reached the TOP 4 in the Team Adults Division at World of Dance Qazaqstan 2025, earning them an exclusive invitation to the WOD Summit in Los Angeles.

The anniversary event also acknowledged the mentorship of trainers Nursultan Tashenov and Aigerim Zhangildinova, whose guidance has supported generations of student dancers and helped build a cohesive community united by a passion for performance.

NUDC is more than just a place to dance; it is a community where individuals can find their true selves, develop their skills, and build lifelong bonds,” said a President of the club, Karina Ruslanovna.

Marking fifteen years of activity, the concert highlighted NU Dance Club’s evolution into an established creative collective and reaffirmed its role in enriching campus life through artistic expression, collaboration, and student leadership.
