The forum is based on the recognition that there is a close link between peace, security, and stability in Asia and in the rest of the world.

On Tuesday 11, 2022, Dr. Mohamad Maliki Bin Osman, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister for Education & Foreign Affairs of Singapore, paid a visit to NU (NU), where he had a meeting with the Management of NU and short talk on the topic: “Challenges of a Small State and ongoing developments of Singapore” with NU Graduate School of Public Policy (NU GSPP) Dean, faculty members, and students, which was followed by a Q&A session.

During the meeting with Dr. Maliki Osman, the President of NU Mr. Shigeo Katsu presented the role of NU as a flagship institution of Kazakhstan and updated on the current results as well as achievements of NU.

The meeting was followed by a Campus Tour for Dr. Maliki Osman, where Mr. Provost Ilesanmi Adesida briefed NU’s research activities and acquainted with the outcomes of the research, visiting NU’s research laboratories.

*Since 2012, NU GSPP has built a solid strategic partnership with the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy of the National University of Singapore (NUS). In the strategic collaboration framework, NU GSPP students study at Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy for 2-3 weeks under the supervision of Singapore Partners in the following programs: Master (2-3 weeks) and Ph.D. programs (up to 3 months). Also, NU GSPP arranges lectures for NU GSPP students, inviting Visiting Scholars (Professors) from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy of NUS.
