Nazarbayev University (NU) attracts talented students from around the world by offering a wide range of undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs across various fields, as well as foundation and residency programs.
Tuition fees for one academic year:

Admission to paid programs
Admission to fee-paying programs is available to applicants who meet all minimum admission requirements. Each year, the University determines quotas for admission to programs on a fee-paying basis.
Financial aid options
- Financial support is available to applicants who obtain the minimum passing scores on the entrance exams, and submit the required certificates in accordance with the admission requirements. Financial aid is not provided to applicants who apply to a fee-paying study, meet the minimum admission requirements to study at NU on a fee-paying basis (for NUFYP and Undergraduate programs with confirmed IELTS and GPA/UNT results), and do not take part in the competition for a Grant.
Financial aid for socially vulnerable categories of citizens of Kazakhstan:
75% tuition coverage is available to the following categories:
- Orphans and children left without the care of both parents or their only parent, under the age of 29.
- Persons with disabilities (Group I, II, or III).
- Persons whose parents have disabilities (Group I, II, or III)
For olympiad winners*:
25% tuition coverage for undergraduate programs is available for winners of international and national academic subject Olympiads, according to the list below.
International Subject Olympiads:
- International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO)
- International Physics Olympiad (IPhO)
- International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO)
- International Biology Olympiad (IBO)
- International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI)
- International Zhautykov Olympiad in Mathematics, Physics, and Informatics
- International Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiad for school students
Republican Subject Olympiads of the Republic of Kazakhstan:
- Republican Olympiad in Mathematics
- Republican Olympiad in Physics
- Republican Olympiad in Chemistry
- Republican Olympiad in Biology
- Republican Olympiad in Informatics
* Applicants may apply as winners of both international and republican Olympiads.
Minimum admission requirements for winners of international or Republican Olympiads:

For the second and subsequent applicants from the same family whose sibling is already studying at NU on a fee-paying basis:
25% tuition coverage is available for the second and subsequent children from the same family studying in fee-paying programs at NU.
For employees of government institutions and enterprises:
50% tuition coverage is available for employees of Kazakhstan’s government institutions and enterprises.
Additional financial support:
5% tuition coverage is available if 100% of the annual tuition is paid in a single payment.
