NU students took part in the Q-bilim program on the Khabar 24 TV channel, where they spoke about their invention. The drone detects the fire using a database of thousands of pictures of fire in different weather conditions and then sends the signal to a ground station.
The students took this project to Huawei Seeds for the Future program that Huawei started to support young minds and make them future professionals, which they and others in the industry can hire. The program took place first in Qatar and then in Dubai. The participants had lectures, took tours to various companies and hubs, and competed against other teams. The NU team took third place in Qatar and was in the top six in Dubai.
