On June 10, 2023, NU Graduate School of Business and Duke University’s FUQUA School of Business signed a Strategic Partnership Agreement for 2023-2026. Within the framework of this partnership, events will be held aimed at improving the academic processes within the School, joint research, conferences and symposiums.

On May 29, 2023, NU, the International Centre for Higher Education Innovation under the Auspices of UNESCO (UNESCO-ICHEI), and the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) signed a memorandum of understanding. The UNESCO-ICHEI delegation arrived for the first time on a visit to Central Asia.

In her speech, President Halimah Yacob spoke about the close and mutually beneficial 30-year-long cooperation between Kazakhstan and Singapore. During her lecture, the President of Singapore focused on three main, in her opinion, areas for cooperation between the “Lion City” and the “Great Steppe” – education, gender equality and equal opportunities for all citizens, as well as interreligious dialogue.

NU Asian Universities Alliance (AUA) Presidents’ Forum May 11-13. The forum titled “Shaping Higher Education in a Changing Asia: Creation, Integration and Innovation” gathered together leaders of 15 member countries of the alliance, including leading universities in China, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.

NU is expanding academic cooperation with leading universities in the world. As part of the Alliance of Asian Universities Forum, which is taking place in the capital, NU signed two cooperation agreements: the Memorandum of Cooperation with the “Universiti Malaya”, and the “Agreement on Student Exchange” with Tsinghua University.

AMBA is one of the “triple crown” accreditation organizations for business schools with a prestigious group of only 300 schools that have earned AMBA accreditation. NUGSB is currently in stage 2 of the 3-stage process toward AMBA accreditation.

The Google Solution Challenge Hackathon is held annually and is dedicated to the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals. 5 thousand teams from different countries applied for participation in this competition in 2023.

On May 2, 2023, during the 15th meeting of the Kazakh-French Intergovernmental Economic Commission, agreements/memorandums of cooperation were signed with the French companies Alstom and Air Liquide. The signing of the documents is a measure of the implementation of the November 2022 Joint Statement of Cooperation.

On April 11, NU and the United Nations Development Programme in Kazakhstan signed a memorandum of understanding which aims to create an alliance of universities to promote gender equality and women’s empowerment. The alliance will bring together faculty members, researchers, and students to share best practices, conduct research, and promote gender equality.
