December 11, 2013 the Graduate School of Education NU hosted a ceremony of awarding certificates to teachers of Kazakh schools, graduates of training programs. During the six-month training programs 75 teachers from different regions of the country have been trained in effective methods of teaching and in new educational technologies.

Today NU conducted Open House Day in Shymkent. All visitors had a unique opportunity to obtain information on admission procedures, training and professions, careers for future graduates and campus life, as well as get acquainted with the peculiarities of the students’ scientific research and organization student’s leisure at university.

Today in Almaty at the Fund of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – the Leader of the Nation “NU” held an open house day. All visitors had a unique opportunity to obtain information on admission procedures, training and professions, careers for future graduates and campus life, as well as get acquainted with the peculiarities of the students’ scientific research and organization student’s leisure at university.

On October 3, 2013, for the first time, two times Olympic champion, Iliya Ilyin and Winner of Asian Games 2010, Anna Alyabyeva visited NU’s event dedicated to leadership with the eyes of champions. A lot of students took active part in the event by asking questions related to their sport career and life positions as community leaders.

Lin, who is the Bank’s first Chief Economist from a developing country and whose term ends on June 1 of this year, is leaving his mark on the institution by advancing a framework for rethinking development and policy. Taking account of growth lessons from past decades, New Structural Economics focuses on how an economy’s structure is endogenous to its factor endowment and highlights the importance of continuous technological innovation, industrial upgrading and diversification based on comparative advantage.

Biology, Molecular Biology and Biochemistry, Biotechnologies, and Microbiology labs, Preparatory and Sanitizing rooms as well as Optics, Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry and Chemical Synthesis labs were in the visiting list. Today both Foundation and Undergraduate students and young researchers use the lab facilities.

The author attempted to define important lessons of the world financial crisis that might be considered in terms of studying the situation in the national economies of world leading countries and in Kazakhstan. Special attention in the book is paid to the problems of modernization and diversification of the economy of Kazakhstan, regarding its peculiarities and the regularities of a changing world.

It is expected that students of NU will be able to get work experience in “Agromashholding” group of companies, to improve skills and gain new knowledge. Upon graduation, graduates with appropriate skills and education can also apply for senior positions in the enterprises of the group.
