Students from various countries visited the NU School of Medicine to explore its educational opportunities and learn about its contributions to medical research and healthcare in Kazakhstan. For the first time in Kazakhstan, the Enactus World Cup 2024 is taking place – a premier event for thousands of students from around the world.

The signing, which took place on the second day of the congress, marks a significant step in enhancing educational and cultural connections between the two organizations. The formal signing ceremony was attended by FICAC President Nikolaos Margaropoulos, Acting President of NU Ilesanmi Adesida, and Chairman of the Board of the “Society of Honorary Consuls” Denis Van den Weghe.
On September 7, 2013, President of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) Xi Jinping visited NU to deliver a special lecture to students. During this lecture, he announced the launch of the now-strategic Belt and Road Initiative, which today unites more than 150 countries and 30 international organizations.
The new faculty members represent 16 countries, including the US, China, Egypt, Turkey, Belgium, Portugal, the UK, and Kazakhstan. They will contribute to teaching and research across a broad range of disciplines, such as computer science, chemistry, economics, geology, history, anthropology, languages and literature, academic writing, and leadership.
The delegation, led by Armida Salsiah Alisjahbana, Executive Secretary of the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), was welcomed by the university’s Vice President, Darkhan Bilyalov. During the visit, the guests were given a tour of the campus and the university library.
