Based on a neural network, this project is the basis of Kazakh Chat GPT. It marks a pivotal milestone in Kazakhstan’s journey into the global artificial intelligence (AI) arena.

The consortium, led by the World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE) and the Institute of International Education (IIE), brings together seven universities to investigate how AI can be integrated into education systems to better prepare students for the demands of an AI-driven global economy. “As part of this initiative, NU will conduct a multi-case study focusing on Learning and Teaching Practices across different academic levels, from foundation to undergraduate and graduate programs.

For the first time, the Student Sports League is organized as a single tournament for all universities, with NU being the host. Beibit Askaruly, Director of the NU Department of Student Affairs, said that “these competitions highlight the importance of sportsmanship, teamwork, and university pride while also providing an opportunity to welcome athletes from various regions and promote a healthy lifestyle among students.

Among the speakers were NU representatives – President Waqar Ahmad, NLA CEO Dos Sarbassov, and Vice Provost Aida Sagintayeva. At the panel session “Global competitiveness of higher education: building a strategy”, Waqar Ahmad spoke about the strategy of Nazarbayev University, which seeks to become a model for reforms in the higher education and science system of Kazakhstan.
