NU (NU) established cooperation with a French university, the University of Lorraine (UL) signing MoU and Student Exchange Agreement.

Under the framework of the newly established Agreement, both institutions agreed to provide student exchange and research internship opportunities in the fields of engineering and mining.

The first step in this promising collaboration between NU and the UL was taken in July 2023 when two universities signed a Memorandum of Understanding. Under the framework of the newly established Agreement, both institutions agreed to provide exchange opportunities to three undergraduate and graduate students. This presents an invaluable chance for our students to immerse themselves in a foreign academic environment, learn from global perspectives, enrich academic experience and deepen knowledge.

The UL is a public institution with a rich history, established in 2012 after the merger of four universities in the Lorraine region, north-eastern France. The university stands as one of the largest and most prestigious universities in France with an impressive number of 60,000 students, dedicated staff of 6,900 members, 43 teaching departments, and 60 research centers. The UL's campuses are spread across 52 locations, each focusing on specific fields of education, creating a diverse and stimulating environment for students and faculty. The institution is proud of its alumni that include world-famous scientists, philosophers and politicians.
