This course is designed to support Kazakhstani business professionals who are seeking to collaborate with Chinese partners, as well as those who are already engaged in partnerships but find the process challenging.

To equip participants with a solid understanding of how to collaborate effectively with Chinese counterparts, the course draws on both academic insights and real-world business case analyses. It examines the key challenges of Sino–Kazakhstani business collaboration by focusing on China’s ultra-competitive state capitalism and its high-context culture.

What you will learn:

  • To assess the advantages and constraints of different types of Chinese firms based on an in-depth understanding of China’s state capitalist system;
  • To negotiate more effectively with Chinese partners by applying a nuanced understanding of Chinese culture;
  • To strengthen collaboration with Chinese partners by applying insights into how Chinese business professionals build and sustain trust;
  • Identify the real decision makers and hidden stakeholders behind a Chinese counterpart.
