NU School of Medicine proudly welcomed its new cohort of medical students, the Class of 2027, during the White Coat Ceremony held on Saturday, August 5, 2023. The event was graced by the Chairman of the Board of «The University Medical Center» Corporate Fund, Dr.

The conference delved into the theme of “New Sources for the Study of the Altaic World,” fostering enlightening discussions and exchanges. ITA has contributed a recorded presentation by Napil Bazylkhan on the recent (2022) archeological findings in Mongolia of the earliest runiform inscriptions in the Old Turkic language, including the earliest occurrence of the name Türk.

Candidates were assessed by their Schools or Departments and then judged by the NU Learning and Teaching Committee. The Committee had a difficult task to choose the winners as the process is becoming more competitive every year.

NU School of Engineering and Digital Sciences has been offering the Globalization and Engineering course as part of its Master of Engineering Management program since 2015. Back then, after teaching it for the first time, Associate Professor Maria Tsakalerou felt that major points did not come across as anything other than theoretical and abstract knowledge, so she searched for best practices internationally that have been effective in addressing the impact of globalization on the education, training, and practice of engineering.

The games were specially organized for patients who have been in the remission stage of oncological diseases for more than a year or had organ transplantation. The UMC calls these children champions, hence the name of the Games.

From July 10 to July 13, the Graduate School of Public Policy at NU hosted a conference dedicated to the problems of climate change with the participation of rural teachers and school students. Schoolchildren presented their vision of solving local climate problems using entrepreneurial skills.

NU students took first place at the reputable Samsung Innovation Campus Hackathon. NU students Asel Abzalova, Abylai Kairatbek, Elamir Kadyrgaliyev, and Arman Bolatov achieved the top spot in the “Software” category with their interactive app for reading fairy tales.
