NU hosted a briefing with the participation of Professor Atakan Varol, Founder and Head of the Institute of Smart Systems and Artificial Intelligence (ISSAI), Yerbol Absalyamov, Deputy Director for Operations, and Madina Abdrakhmanova, Deputy Director for External Relations. The speakers elaborated on developing a large language model of the Kazakh language—KazLLM.

The visit to Astana took place within the framework of the agreement reached during the official visit of the leadership of the Kazakhstani university to the leading universities and schools of Uzbekistan in April this year. Their accommodation on campus allowed them to fully immerse themselves in university life, where, despite the vacation period, research work continues and prestigious international Olympiads are held, particularly the IBO-2024 - a biology competition among schoolchildren from 81 countries.

The visit to Astana took place within the framework of the agreement reached during the official visit of the leadership of the Kazakhstani university to the leading universities and schools of Uzbekistan in April this year. On July 4, 2024, Kadisha Dairova, NU Vice President, and Aliya Kaimoldinova, Director of the Department of Internationalization, took part in an international symposium organized by the Silk Road Universities Alliance within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization's Council meeting. The Alliance members discussed cooperation in higher education and the integration of production.
