Managing Personal Finances: NU Students Start Doing So Early

At the request of NU Preparatory School students (NUFYP) NU President Shigeo Katsu gave a lecture on financial literacy on March 28. Nurdaulet Aidossov, Chairman of Jusan Bank, was invited to the meeting on the initiative of Mr Katsu to reinforce the students’ theoretical knowledge with practical financial advice. In his lecture, he has discussed the intricacies of the Kazakhstan’s financial system, the causes of financial crises, and the importance of knowing the processes of investing, saving and spending. At the end, the students took away the lesson from NU President Shigeo Katsu, that despite its rewards, investing always comes with risks and advised them to constantly expand their economic knowledge.
